April turned into a very fun month for me!
It began not-so-fun as John’s boss had a house fire. The building was a total loss, but there was a lot that was spared inside that she was able to keep, like her wedding photos and older keepsakes. I had some magical azalea princess sessions, and my new Lady Banks rose bloomed for the first time in its life.
I enjoyed macro photography some more, finding some fun critters and flowers out and about.
The local Piedmont Garden tour was also in April, which is something John and I enjoy going to every year. I tell you, one day I’m going to have a pond in my garden too.
Then I got on the world’s worst plane to go to the world’s prettiest hotel and teach at the world’s craziest photography convention. Shutterfest was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to go back next year.
I taught a ballet photography class, two macro classes, and a kid’s class. Plus I met some brilliant vendors and made new friends.
But right after I got home I got sick and was pretty much hanging out on best with the cats for a week. But finally, I got out and got more plants and my garden wildflowers are beginning to come up as well.
