Wondering how Fairyography sessions work here in Athens GA? These are some of my favorite sessions to photograph. They combine dress-up, pretend play, and a relaxed atmosphere where kids get to be themselves while I capture it all.
It starts with a conversation. Once you get in touch, I’ll ask a few things about your child—what they’re like, what they enjoy, and if they’ve got any favorite fairytale characters. That gives me a good starting point for planning their session.
My studio wardrobe is packed with dresses, wings, flower crowns, wands, and props. There are soft, floaty gowns, sparkly costumes, and comfortable options for kids who like to move. We pull out a few choices, and your child picks what they like best. Trying on outfits and picking accessories is usually a hit.
During the shoot, I keep things light and playful. With 25 years of experience photographing kids, I’ve learned how to follow their lead while guiding things along. We don’t rush, and I keep the mood calm and easy. Sometimes we pretend we’re in a story. Sometimes we explore the park and see what happens. I’ll suggest ideas, but I keep things open so your child feels comfortable.
Parents often tell me how surprised they are at how fast their child gets into it. While I photograph, you can relax nearby. I’ve got it covered.
After the session, I sort through the images and choose the best ones. I hand-edit each one with care—fixing details, adjusting color, and adding light edits that bring everything together without making it look fake.
The goal is to give your child a fun experience that also results in portraits you’ll want to hang onto. It’s a mix of imagination and honest moments that feel real—not staged.
If that sounds like something your kid would enjoy, I’d love to help you plan a session.
