Is there any greater honor as a photographer to photograph your own family? I don’t have children, so it’s not like I get to take pictures of my own kids anytime I like. So when I get to photograph family, it’s an even greater event for me. Recently, I photographed my newborn niece in Louisville Kentucky. I went up to stay for a few days to make sure that we had plenty of time for pictures. It was a good thing because we needed all of the time. She had colic and I probably got about four hours total over the course of two days to post her and get photos while she wasn’t screaming. It was difficult, but I set up my own little traveling studio in their guest room and we had a total blast.
