Piper’s nominator writes: “Hello Heather, I found your site on Facebook and love what you are doing. I have the perfect little girl to nominate for your Princess Photo Shoot, Piper Kay Nolan. Piper is 3 years old (almost 4) and is just about the most darling little girl you have ever met. Piper loves to laugh, sing and stay busy. Piper also has Down syndrome. She truly is a princess and those gorgeous almond eyes of hers just sparkle when she smiles. Piper works incredibly hard every day to reach her highest potential. Things that others take for granted like learning to talk, walk, jump, run and skip are more difficult for Piper due to the hypotonia or low muscle tone related to her Down syndrome diagnosis. Piper works diligently with therapists every day in order to achieve and has done this since she was just weeks old. Piper has overcome the difficulties associated with open heart surgery and sports her zipper scar on her chest with pride…showing the word that she CAN do anything! Despite having to work harder Piper is making huge strides and is always showing those around her what she is truly capable of. Piper lights up a room with her laughter and melts hearts with her sweetness. Piper and her family have recently relocated to the Atlanta area and I just know that being the recipient of this photo shoot would mean the world to them…to know that a new part of the country sees and appreciates the beautiful and capable girl that Piper Kay is.”
Heather says: Piper truly does light up a room. Her mother opted to include both of their girls for this session and it was Piper’s sister that made me work hard that day! You can just tell now much Piper LOVES her sister to bits though.
