Her nominator writes: Eleanor is a sweet, spunky 4 year old who was recently diagnosed with autism. I have had the privilege of being her dance teacher for the last year and have loved seeing her growth. when I first got to know eleanor she did not say much. now that she is acquiring more and more words, it has been such a joy to have her share her thoughts with me. she loves dancing and dinosaurs. eleanor’s mom, dad, and big sister are completely smitten with her (as are the rest of us) and tireless advocates for their girl. Eleanor is full of sparkle and deserves to be a fairy princess for a day!
Heather’s thoughts: she’s full of wonder of the world around her. She walks with this half-step that makes her look like she’s dancing everywhere she goes, and she stops every few yards to look around and say “whooooaaaaaaa”. It’s adorable.
