As a photographer, it’s sometimes hard to find the PERFECT studio space for photography clients. For maternity sessions, I need a big area with enough room for a nice backdrop and big light. For newborn sessions, I want a smaller area to heat up for the baby and have my props nearby. With small babies and bigger kid photos, I need a safe space they can’t knock anything over. Or a small contained garden area. For dancers, I need a studio tall enough that they’re not going to hit the ceiling when they jump.
I was lucky enough to find such a fabulous space this spring and after some thought and planning, I’VE MOVED! I’m in a converted basement apartment in a house on the east side of Athens GA. I have a small ordering appointment room so clients can view their images. In the next room, I have a huge photo area with a big backdrop. It also has prop storage. And then the home has an immaculate, lush private garden we’re also allowed the do photos in. So now I take clients who want studio images. I can also do combo indoor/outdoor photo sessions for maternity, newborn, and baby sessions!
